I'm taking a
trip around the world,
making new friends, a boy, a girl,
I want to
see all that I can see,
travelling by air & land & sea.
I
can see the Eiffel Tower in France,
see Hawaiian ladies do a hula
dance,
bonzai from Japan and Australian Wallaby...

Drive Through the U.S.A.

Drive through
the USA, drive through the USA,
Get in your car, we're about to go
far,
drive through the USA.
On the
northeast tip of America
there's the beautiful state of Maine;
Lobsters are found, they are all around,
taste the seafood, you
will want to stay.
In New York
there's the Statue of Liberty,
it's the symbol of freedom &
democracy.
See a Broadway show, see the skyline grow, s
ee the
people on the go, go, go.
To the south
of New York is Pennsylvania
and the mountains of Appalachia.
Many
battles were fought, many truths were taught
through the years of our
history.
We'll go to
Michigan, northward we'll drive.
Ford, Chrysler and GM, they'll be
glad to see our car arrive.
Indiana, here we come, Chicago, Illinois.
Cornfields aglow in Iowa, smiling people spread the joy, joy,
joy!
In Nebraska,
Wyoming and Idaho
there are farms that grow our food.
Cross the
Rocky Mountains, Arizona too,
watch the sun go down in California.

Hawaii,
Hawaii, how I love Hawaii,
surfin' down on Waikiki.
Palms are
swayin' and dolphins playin',
Hawaii is the place for me.
Oh, how I
love snorkeling, fishing and
swimming and diving and getting a tan!
I love to hula at luaus and sail on
the sea on a catamaran!
Hawaii,
Hawaii, how I love Hawaii,
surfin' down on Waikiki.
Palms are
swayin' and dolphins playin',
Hawaii is the place for me.

Kangaroo,
kangaroo, wallaby, wallaby,
platypus and cockatoo say, "G'day!"
Koalas sit in a tree eating eucalyptus leaves;
crocodile and
honeybees play.
Welcome to
Australia, the country from down under!
Welcome to the fairyland of
animal wonder!

Mexico

Mexico,
Mexico, come to the land of fiesta!
Mexico, Mexico, each day they take
a siesta.
South of the border is the place to go,
take some
pesos and your sombrero.
It is the happiest place I know
so come
on down to Mexico!
They shake,
shake, shake their maraccas!
La, la, la, la, la, la, la!
And they
tap on their clavas!
La, la, la, la, la, la, la!
And the bells they go
jing-a-ling!
La, la, la, la, la, la, la!
And the tap of the
tambourine
makes us all dance & sing!
Come and see
the pyramids made of stone,
silver jewelry you would like to
own.
Come see the place where the coffee's grown,
just come on down
to Mexico!

Leaning Tower of
Pisa

I want to see
the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
They built it in the year 1392.
It
stood up straight and tall but somehow it tilted
and no one knew
exactly what to do!
O Tower of
Pisa! You're a wonder to see!
The world is astounded how you came to
be!
Your tower of bells rings out happily
to welcome all people to
Italy!
People come
to see the city of Venice.
They visit Rome, Capri and old
Napoli.
But all agree the Leaning Tower of Pisa
is why the people
come to Italy.
They welcome all people to Pisa, Italy!

The French Song
Connie Hand

If I want to
say "hello"in French, I say "Bonjour!"
If I want to say "I love you,"
"Je t'adore!"
If I want to say "my friend,' I say "mon amie!"
I can
speak French now! "Je parle Francais!"
Merci beaucoup and s'il vou
plait!
If I want to
count to three, I say "un, deux, trois."
If I want to say "So long!" I
say "Au revoir!"
If I ask a question and you say, "oui, oui,"
that
means "yes" and you agree!
That means "yes" and you agree with me!

Bonsai From
Japan
Connie Hand

BMI
Where can I
find a bonsai tree
to shape and care for tenderly,
A tree that is a
friend to me,
a bonsai from Japan?
It may be
pine or pomegranate,
bamboo tree or cherry.
It may be in a shallow
pot
or in a group of many.
If I could
find a bonsai tree,
I'd whisper to it secretly.
I'd share my every
thought,
you see, with a bonsai from Japan.
My friend, my
friend, you listen patiently
to all I say and never turn away.
Where can I find a bonsai tree
to shape and care for tenderly,
a tree that is a friend to me,
a bonsai from Japan?
